Riding Staggered - (click here for image).
- Everyone should ride in a staggered formation for Safety reasons. The minimim recommended spacing to the bike directly in-front of you should not be less that two (2) seconds, the Two Second Rule. The bike in your lane to the left or right should not be less that one second ahead of you. You will find that two seconds is a long distance when riding at highway speeds. That is it's a long distnace when everyything is going well. When things go wrong, however, two seconds is gone in the time it takes to figure out you are in trouble. The last bike should ride in the middle of the two bike lanes with all head lights and running lights on. This will help the lead bike see the last bike.
BIKER Program
What’s BIKER – Bikers Investing Koncern Everytime we Ride.
This program is going to be run throughout the riding season March - Nov. Those who do an act to help another or point out a potential safety issue for another will be recognized for their care. This is geared more toward insuring we are ready to ride in group or individually. It helps us protect each other and gain awareness of our motorcycles needs. So this year as your getting ready to ride, don’t forget the most important item, SAFETY. Those who are recognized for their assistance in this will be given a BEAD necklace. The rider with the most necklaces will win a prize at the end of the riding season.
