The Pittsburgh Chapter began in 1986. Our members

proudly represent Harley-Davidson, our dealer, and the over

one million HOG members worldwide.

Our mission statement is very simple – Let’s Ride And Have Fun!

 

We are an amazing chapter with over 300 members from all walks of life!  Our sponsor, Three Rivers Harley Davidson is a  great dealership and the supportive relationship between our chapter and our dealership is the envy of most H.O.G. chapters.

We invite you to be our guest at a future meeting and learn more about who we are and what we do.  We are confident that you’ll like what you see and want to become a chapter member.    

 

General Meetings 
Our general meetings are held at Monte Cellos on Babcock Blvd on the second Thursday of each month starting at 7:00 pm. We encourage first-time attendees to stop by early on meeting nights so that we can get to know you and introduce you to other members.
Many of our members elect to have dinner prior to the start of the meeting.
Visitors are invited to join us for dinner.  

 
Activities
We’re all about riding and having fun and our events calendar supports that mission.

Chapter activities include:
                                                                                                                    

• Weekly rides - We try to have a variety of rides every week. Some are
  short rides, some are long rides and some are overnight rides.
  We try to provide something for all riders.

• Annual overnight rides such as our WV Whitewater Rafting provide an excellent
  opportunity to experience a unique group setting with amazing comradery.  

• Social activities such as our Valentines Party, Chili Challenge, Annual Group
  Picnic, Dealer Functions, Christmas Dinner, and New Year’s Eve Party.

•  

All members are invited to attend our rides and social activities.  We provide help and support for anyone wanting to lead a ride through our Road Captains and Safety Officer.
Help and support for hosting an activity is provided through our Activities Officer.

   

Newsletter
Our quarterly newsletter is a first-class publication and includes information that will keep you well informed of what’s going on.  It’s distributed electronically and contains contact information for both elected and appointed officers, our chapter activities calendars for the current and following month, dealership activity information, and articles written by officers and members.  Everyone is invited to submit articles relative to their riding experience.  This always makes for interesting reading for our membership.

Group Riding

We know new members may be hesitant about participating in our group rides.  
We want to help you through that barrier.  

Safety is paramount on our group rides and having fun is a close second!
Don’t let your lack of group riding experience keep you at home.
Pick a scheduled ride and go. Let the ride leader know that this is your first event
and you are not sure what to do. The ride leader and Road Captains are there to help.
We recommend that new members ride near the front of the group.
The pace is generally more even at the front of the group, and you are
less likely to experience anxiety if the group becomes separated.

Our chapter strictly follows the group riding guidelines established by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) – the same organization that created the Basic Rider Course taught in many community colleges and Harley Davidson’s Riding Academy (formerly Riders Edge).  If you are not familiar with MSF’s guidelines, our Safety Officer can assist you.
